2XU pregnancy workshop

Calling all Melbourne mamas-to-be!

Join Andy from YogaMamas and Liz from Eastern Osteopathy Melbourne for a 90 minute workshop on Health & Yoga for Pregnancy.

Supported by 2XU Camberwell, this is an interactive and informative workshop designed to provide tools to prepare you for the journey through pregnancy into motherhood.

This workshop is perfect for you if you want to:

  • understand some of the changes that are occurring during pregnancy
  • gain tips and ideas on how to deal with common discomforts
  • explore techniques to help with labour & childbirth
  • understand pelvic floor health and how to support your pelvic floor during and after pregnancy
  • explore ways to move the body and breath to support your pregnancy journey
  • take away ideas on how to continue your practice at home

Dr Elizabeth Johns (B.App.Sc. (Clin.Sc.), B.Osteo. I Sc. (Dist), Grad.Cert Infant Manual Therapy) will chat to you about the postural changes that occur throughout pregnancy. She’ll talk about why we might be experiencing discomfort, the importance of movement, exercise and breath when you are pregnant and the all important pelvic floor health during and after pregnancy.

Andrea Broadbear (500RYT, Grad.Cert. Yoga Therapy, Cert. in Pre & Postnatal exercise, Yoga & Pilates) will then guide you through a series of yoga, meditation and breath practices designed to build strength & stamina, flexibility & balance. She’ll offer tools to help you manage pregnancy discomforts and common conditions, as well as techniques for labour and beyond.

There will be the opportunity to chat and connect with other mums-to-be over refreshments provided by Pressed Juices. You will also walk away with a goodie bag, plus a gift from our friends at 2XU.

What can I bring into the event?
All you need to bring is comfy clothes that allow you to move; we’ll provide a mat, props and refreshments.

What stage of pregnancy is this workshop appropriate for?
The workshop is suitable for any stage of pregnancy. If you have any conditions related to your pregnancy, please let us know prior to the event so we can modify the practice for you.
